Hello Wonderful Soroptimists!

In just a few days, you’ll be receiving the Call to Conference for our 2018 Spring Conference at the beautiful Pala Casino Resort Spa in Pala, CA! (It’s just ten miles from the Temecula Valley wineries!) Our theme is Soroptimist Soaring: Discovering, Dreaming & Exploring. We believe we have an extended weekend packed with just that: discovering new ideas and friends, creating reality from our dreams, and exploring different ways of improving lives. Your Golden West Region board members, Spring Conference Committee members, and host clubs (SI Chino Hills/Inland Empire, SI Hemet - San Jacinto, and SI Moreno Valley) can’t wait to welcome and work with you!

March 8^th – International Women’s Day
March 15^th – Soroptimist Club Grant Proposal deadline

SOROPTIMIST SATURDAY OF SERVICE
Soroptimist Saturday of Service occurs on the first Saturday of March – this year SOS is on March 3^rd. All Soroptimist clubs are encouraged to participate in a community service project and attempt to receive media attention for our work. Don’t forget to submit a Soroptimist Celebrating Success report!

SIA CLUB GRANTS
The Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls are funds given to Soroptimist clubs to start or continue projects in their communities that improve the lives of women and girls, in accordance with the mission of SIA. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2018.

NEW CLUB OFFICERS
Just a reminder to think about appointing your nominating committee to elect club officers for the 2018-2019 club year. Check procedures outlined in your club bylaws for election of club board members. It is also a great time to order pins and gifts from SIA to present to your outgoing and incoming officers at the end of the year.
